What Clubs Does Tiger Woods Use

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods (real name Eldrick Woods) was born on Dec. 30th, 1975, making him almost 31 years old. His nickname of Tiger Woods came from a Vietnamese soldier who was a friend of his father. He is of mixed decsent - his father is American (50% black, 25% Chinese, 25% Native American) and his mother is from Thailand. His name is now legendary in the world of professional golf, as he was won more than 80 tournaments since becoming a professional golfer in 1996. At 6 foot 1 and 185 pounds, he is not the biggest golfer ever to play the game, but his lifetime of practice since the age of 6 months as he watched his father hit golf balls has turned him into an almost mythical figure in the world of professional golf - by the age of 2 he was on the Mike Douglas Show alongside another legendary golf fan, Bob Hope. By age 3 he could knock down 9 holes with a score of less than 50 - most grown up golfers still struggle to achieve such a score.

Tiger Woods has continued to improve and win recognition as a golfer - he was Golf Digest player of the year in 1991 and 1992 before turning pro - and in just his third year as a pro, 1999, he won more than $6 million dollars on the pro tour, more than second place David Duval at less than $4 million. Tiger Woods has continued to set records both in PGA titles won and in earnings, with more than $55 million won on the PGA circuit since 1996. All this spectacular success has made Tiger an international celebrity in and out of the golf world, leading to many endorsement and advertising deals that have at least matched his golf earnings.
